EXPERIENCE

CNC. Leading hand of the CNC department of small machine shops. Duties included the programming of CNC machines and the supervision of their operation.

Assisted in the establishment of the CAD-CAM facility at the Centre for Advanced Resource Technologies in Prince George, BC. Responsible for the purchase of most of the equipment for the machine shop. Coordinated projects consisting of the design and production of items ranging from simple to complex.

Assisted in the establishment of CNC operations at Decade Industries, Richmond, BC. Duties included programming, setup and operation of the CNC machines, fixture design and manufacture, and part inspection. Products were mostly complex aircraft parts.

INSTRUCTION. Developed and delivered training courses in CNC machine tool programming and operation at CART in Prince George.

Developed and delivered courses in machine shop technology at Pacific Vocational Institute (now part of B.C.I.T.)

TOOLMAKER. Designed and manufactured equipment for the testing of jet engine parts at Decade Industries.

Designed and manufactured press tools at Contract Tools and Gauges, Australia.

Machinist. Operated a wide variety of machine tools.
