EditCNC - CNC editor with DNC software

Tech Rage--who, me?

An article in a Canadian newsmagazine ("Dealing with Tech Rage", MacLean's, March 91,2001) asks if you've ever felt like hurling your computer out the window. The increasing complexity of "time saving" software, and less time in which to learn how to use it, often adds stress to our already fast-paced lives.

We at CNC Consulting, being both CNC and software programmers, have to answer "Yes! Yes! I HAVE really wanted to lay into that computer with the biggest ball peen hammer in the shop!"

We have tried to make our software as easy to use as possible, while providing functions to help the CNC programmer write and edit programs which can be very long, and very complex.

The article (you can find it at http://www.macleans.ca/xta-doc/2001/03/19/Technology/index.shtml) gives some very helpful recommendations to help limit tech rage, one of which is READ THE MANUAL.

We consider our online Help file to be one of the most important parts of our software. We've taken great pains to write it so the user can get the most that EditCNC and Machinist's Calculations can offer. We also know that what we consider to be clear may not be so helpful to another person, so we welcome all suggestions and questions regarding this Help file.

So please, when you are using our software, click on the Help menu whenever trying something new. Search the index, or browse the contents. If you don't find what you're looking for, or what you do find is unclear, email us. We'll get back to you as soon as possible, usually the next day. Your questions help us to continually improve our Help file.
Use our Support Request Form, or you can email us at postmaster@editcnc.com.

We are unable to provide telephone support at this time, but hope to do so sometime in the future.
